MINUS Ceramics is a studio making contemporary ceramics that live between soft minimalism, incompleteness and imperfection. Every piece is made intuitively and with presence to bring attention to everyday moments and support intentional living.
The studio is based in Greece and was founded by architect and designer Katerina Souani in 2020. Katerina’s hands had long been drawn to materiality, which led her to her first clay workshop back in 2016.
She has been working with clay ever since, experimenting with new techniques, learning by doing and exploring fresh creative possibilities.
Each piece is unique, revealing the making process and the marks left by hand. The method is part of the object and forms are allowed to emerge naturally.
Personal freedom and individual expression are chosen over mass-production, uniformity and perfection.
We work with simple forms and natural glazes so that the clay can breathe, emerge and speek for itself.
Our work is for people who love the beauty of imperfection and the simplicity that brings more space and less control to life.
